We all face the same challenge when we finally make the decision to live a life that is different from the way that 98 percent of all others live their lives. Most of us live in a world where we live day to day doing the same things over and over. We dream of being able to break out of the routine and live a life that is filled with adventure, passion, and abundance. We want to live in a world where we can do what we want when we want, and how we want while knowing that we have enough money, health, and time to enjoy it all. And then… we wake up and find we are back in our office or cubicle or worse yet, one second we are sunning ourselves on a beach with snow-white sand with the waves of sapphire blue waters gently rolling onto the shore with the sounds of seagulls in the background, a light breeze blowing in from the sea and BAM back to reality, you are staring at your mortgage note, credit card statements and the electric bill while counting the days till your next paycheck…and don’t forget the car note. Ahhg!

Does this sound like a month ago? How about the month before that? Do see any way that things will be any different next month? You think to yourself for a moment that this is just the way it is, everybody you know is dealing with the same thing. The economy stinks, gas prices are up, and there is no real raise in sight at the job you’ve been pouring everything you’ve got into for years. Your boss tells you that they are in the same boat and that you should be thankful that you even have a job. You know, there are a lot of people out there that don’t.

Then a while later your mind begins to drift off again just to get away from it all, if only for a minute or two.  But then you begin to realize that everyone doesn’t necessarily live like this. What about Elon Musk or how Richard Branson, you know there is a whole different group of people who do, in fact, live the life that you only dream about. What is different about them that allows them to live life on their own terms? Life doesn’t kick them around like a tin can.

It is something that you likely don’t think much about or don’t even know about. It is, in fact, likely that no one that you ever grew up around or associate with even talked about…or even knew about themselves.  The wealthy and those who live their lives by their own rules do have a few differences in what they know & believe from what we do. But they are really not much different from us. They usually aren’t special in any other way except in what they have learned and are capable of believing in. One of these things is in their mindset, but probably the biggest difference between them and you is that they learned long ago to leave their comfort zone behind and have never returned to it.

The comfort zone you ask, what is that? Well, for one thing, the name is extremely deceiving as it is never comfortable and what is worse is that the longer you live within it the smaller and more uncomfortable it becomes. It can slowly make you adjust to having less and less over time. Less adventure, less excitement, less happiness, less money, fewer real friends, and less variety in life until your world contracts to such a small sphere that you are unwilling or fear to try anything different from what you are used to. Change becomes obsolete, something to be feared, and avoided at all costs. It tricks you into thinking that you already know how something will be before it happens. The “been there, done that” attitude; but in most cases you have neither been there nor done it.

Your life becomes one of repetition and routine. It resists any outside influence as your spirit slowly suffocates in this ever-shrinking bubble of unhappiness. It doesn’t sound so comfortable now, does it?

But the one thing that you need to know is that when you really reach a point where you have had enough and want a real life back there are ways to escape its confines and assure that you can get a one-way ticket out, never to return.

Are you here now? Are you ready to break the chains? If so, open your mind for a few moments and I’ll walk along with you on the first few steps of your new journey and show you not only where the path lies, but how to stay on it till you reach your destination, and then continue to venture beyond.

Are you ready?
